Designed for Flight

The front-loaded weight distribution and engineered fin design optimize the rocket snare’s static margin to ensure stable flight.

Like an arrow or dart, the fins help the rocket snare fly straight and true.

Adjustable Weight

Remove the nut and change the number of washers to adjust the weight. Each snare comes with 12 washers (0.46 oz each) to customize the weight from 6 to 12 oz (configured as 12 oz out of the box).

Lead Free

The bolt, nut, and washers are made from zinc-plated steel to avoid lead toxicity.

Like all steel (including “stainless” steel), they will rust when abraded by sand in salt water.  Fortunately, these off-the-shelf parts are readily available at your local hardware store.

Easy-Open Bait Cage

No more struggling with bait doors and hooks. Simply unscrew the top, add the bait, and screw the top back on.

The 4.4 cubic inch volume makes efficient use of bait.

Glows in the Dark

Our crab snares glow in the dark with a sky blue color that matches the peak visual spectral sensitivity of crustaceans to enable positive phototaxis.
