A Modular Transformer

The Shapeshifter comes with two sets of weights to seamlessly transform between a rocket design, a traditional design (weight underneath the cage), and combinations thereof.

The adjustable weights are made from corrosion-resistant, zinc-plated steel to avoid lead toxicity. The rocket form uses 19 washers (0.25 oz each) to adjust the weight from 5.5 to 10 oz. The traditional form uses 5 washers (1.5 oz each) that are bolted directly to the bottom of the cage to adjust the weight from 4 to 10 oz.

Easy-Open, Bait-Efficient Cage

The Shapeshifter’s 3.1 cubic inch volume accommodates all types of bait. Its cargo bay door opens wide for easy loading.

Glows in the Dark

The Shapeshifter glows in the dark. The sky blue phosphorescence matches the peak visual spectral sensitivity of crustaceans, enabling positive phototaxis.

Designed for Flight

In rocket form, the tail fins help the Shapeshifter fly straight and true, similar to an arrow or dart.

The front-loaded weight distribution and engineered fin design optimize the Shapeshifter rocket’s static margin to ensure stable flight.
